A late entry again... But on monday we went out to celebrate luke's birthday and partially for stef's as well...

But not everyone is happy as you can see... Some were sulking...


But no one was more grumpy or sulking more than mr. birthday boy himself... throughout the whole day! Lol.

And it's damn amazing how tough it is! I've linked a video for those whose interested to see below... And crazy as it is i actually TRIED it... Using a real KEY to try to scratch it... And verdict is it's Damn DURABLE!! Haha!

My FREAAKKINNGG COM is having PMS and refuses to boot up the whole day!!!! And it irritates the hell out of me!

1st day of school started with studio at 2pm... And i was late for class again. Haha... Think not much changed after the break huh.. haha same as old days in year 1... =)

Design module is now spread out on 2 days.. monday and thursday. And according to bono, we were supposed to have 3 tutors just that one is still deer hunting somewhere and the other i cant rem really haha... Can tell i haven't been listening much? So we are practically left with him. LOL. We're gonna have 3-4 projects this sem... Haven't read the briefs yet but guess i'll do so later.... 1st is to draw some 'concept sketch folios'... erm okay pretty boring stuffs... 2nd is designing and make a heritage lamp that usees led. Much better. Ha. And 3rd is designing eyewear! OOOooo.... hhaha much more interesting although i dun wear glasses la!! And last but not least 4th is basically compiling a portfolio.

Rest of lesson i rem is bono's 3 little pigs story which turned out to be how there used to be 3 pigs that lived across his farms and how they've been the little evil ones by eating little birds and affecting the fauna as well as ecology of the area. So his attempts to rid of them include the WHOLE process of how he got a rifle with telescopic sight with aids from his friend and tried hunting the 3 pigs, where he go thump thump in the heart, and thus shoot and miss whenever they played catching with the old ma. So in the end he failed to kill any. Except that all of that is narrated in an extremely animated and humorous way... And across a span of maybe 15 mins? =) Haha wad a way to spend class time huh?

But on one hand it's cool to have a lecturer/tutor like bono telling jokes and keeping everyone happy in class but i thought i really could do with more teaching instead of telling old grandfather stories like those. I end up knowing more bout his farms and toilets and table and pigs and wad have u.... Seriously they're like stuck in my head! Gosh!

Came back home and spent the rest of the day packing stuff into my new cupboard that came in the morning. (now u noe why i'm late... hah) All the way till 12 plus am... Well i think that took damn long! All of meticulously sorting and planning and arranging! I'm too neat sometimes its scary... Hah.

There... the final result... And why it took so looonngg!! Nice? Haha.

Today's finally Rag Day...

Ended up i didn't help out with rag though initially i thought i will probably pop by the last week to do so. My conscience's abit acting on me esp since zaha freshies are such regulars for the float. Attendance's pretty impressive i think. Haha.

Woke up abit late today but still made my way down to school to catch some of the performances...

It's quite amazing really cos SDE's float was like super uncomplete the few days before only. And like all assignments and deadlines, it turned out pretty fine in the end i guess. Too well trained? =)

Hahah... Not too sure... But i think the float got the chancellor shield for best float right? Is it?? Hmm... (i left before the results in case u were wondering...) Haha so i'm not sure.

Some qualms about SDE's float/dance though... Hah! I still think it's all too similar to last year's!

Similarities!! :
1) The whole theme of it!
2) Costumes... changed colours?
3) Float... Basically did the same float again 'cept the zaha tree! =)
4) Stilt Walkers!

To their credit, it's a sequel for last year success float/theme so it's unavoidable it's similar to last year's...

Anyway KR's presentation was like super impressive... I think the rest would agree too... They got a freaking time travel train float which looks damn real!!!

Highly movable float... Checked.
Smoke effects... Checked.
Costumes full of character... Checked.
Large spanner/hammer/screwdriver... Checked.
And last but not least.... Bring it On cheerleading moves and throws!!... Checked.

And so they swept quite alot of prizes...

Sigh... Ended up no fireworks in the end.
Shucks i missed it again.

Woke up freaking early today to travel to the far east... all the way to expo... which is just 1 stop away from changi! And almost half the class was there cos homefix is interested in getting us to help them design their new range of products for their new store... for pdts of various storage solutions for the home, like in the kitchen, bathroom, home office, bedroom etc... And well since its a new store of course got new concept... Top secret? Tsk.

Think it might turn out to be interestin' after all... Ha. =) But that means more work! SHITZZ! and there's the FLIP! competition as well... $%!@##!

And so... 4 days prior to the new term... It almost felt like sch started already with so many ppl present!

After home fixing, was back in SCHOOL to help sanny clear up his stuffs, 'chop table', bid for module, view ENDLESS pics of union camp war games pics and finally to meet the ID freshies to collate orders for their matric pack after their incredibly draggy introductory talk by the tutors!!! 1st day only and its such a long talk... LOL! and behold... they have 4 tutors for studio this year! (we had 3 last year... and it was too much to handle)

So after wondering which nudist beach christian went to to get tanned, and discovering why bono had longer locks, and finally the identity of mysterious santana maria maria, i'm all geared up for the new sem... =)

Fun Fact of the day: Turns out that the National Day that we celebrate without fail every year on 9th August coincides with National Underwear Day in the states!!! Holy!! And so they sing aloud... one people, one nation, one underwear!!

For i'm devastated to have received news for a 2nd time in 2 months that another friend has departed... Sigh... It's so sudden and unexpected. And i totally feel bewildered at the thought that someone who's of the same age can suddenly disappear from our midst like this.

I'm speechless and loss for words really.

I sincerely offer my greatest of condolences to both of them and their family.

And to everybody else... Please drive with caution...

After which is cine to watch "Hard Candy"! Acted by Patrick Wilson and Allen Page, the plot is about how a mature 14-year old girl meets a 32-year old photographer on the Internet. Suspecting that he is a pedophile, she goes to his home in an attempt to expose him.

Its a M18 psychological thriller and it's rated that for a reason. It's disturbing shit!!! Particularly a certain scene in the film that gotta do with genitals. *Oh my!!* How come they deal with such stuff??? WTF! Hmmm... And while there's no visual gory, to hear how a 14 year old teenage girl speak and act as such is certainly very frightening!! *Shivers*

Oh!! And did i mention that the whole movie is played out by 5 cast!!! And Ellen Page and Patrick Wilson are practically the 2 who had dialogues in the film. LOL! And the bullk of the movie is spent talking!! Amazing acting and pacing in the movie!!!

Popped by art friend and got a new A4 sketch pad today for the coming sem... And when i got home... Did a rough sketch in about 15 mins... Cool anime btw. A must watch!!
