This baby's been ard for a year now... A rare limited edition portable media player in the whole world... I've been wanting to take pics of it ever since but it dragged till now...

Working's finally over! since friday! And i'm free again... how i cherish this freedom! free from the confines of a 9-6 job, waking punctually everyday at 730am, reporting to work by 9, lunch at 1230, and finally leaving on the DOT at 6!!

And its basically that for 5 days... How sian!

The redeeming value though is there's nice ppl ard who made the difference. Same goes for everything that ppl do i guess. Its the company that matters, not the stuff that u actually do. Cos when there's ppl u're comfortable with and enjoy being with, all chores will become a breeze.

Ching asked lately too... 'How come it feels like we 4 have known for a very long time though we were almost total strangers the week b4'...

'Strangers?' Nah. They're just friends whom i've yet to meet b4...

In fact, sometimes i wonder... What is it that makes ppl 'click' and thus form these special cliques, that makes us want to hang out and spend precious time together.

Similarly... Special ppl they are... ter, nick, mei, dee, lena, dor... Everybody's from all walks of lives yet we spend so much time together that it makes me think back on how we actually met and started to speak to each other in the first place. It isn't possible - cos of studies, overseas, gfs, special circumstances etc - to hang out like we did anymore... Whenever we meet again though it feels warm again.

Well for luke, daryll, mun, yv, same as well i guess. Or perhaps u need to have some special characteristic/ability like being able to draw super super well that i'm still damn jealous of, or gifted enough to make kitsch door knobs with tendrils.. erm n which looks like certain part of the body, or having to jump for the fire extinguisher button beside the lift and yet not reaching it, or just being oh.. so...BUSYYY 4eva instead of doing sch work.....!

Oh and back to work... One thing that's been bothering me whl working are my EYES! Worked 'till my vision BBLLLUURRR!! Oh gawd... if there's anything i treasure most, it's my eyes/eyesight! Fortunately!! Today's been much much better already. So thank god.

Frankly speaking, i hate fixed routines such as these... What's with the mundanes of everyday lives that those who adhere strictly to i give my total respect!!!

Hmmm... Many ppl have been asking me since yr 1 the reason behind choosing ID. Well... cos i love designer pdts... and in ID at least, every single assignment you get, its basically a new thing. So at least for working, it's a whole new ball altogether. Besides it helps when you see other ppl wearing/using/enjoying the products u design. Its satisfying! Imagine you can walk up to them and say 'Those... that u are using now... are designed by me...' =) Cool huh.

YET! 1 of the things that bother me is the prospect of designing as a career in SG. Or how grads like us get LOW pay compared to those with degree in business or others, despite the fact that we use up much more creative juices and brain cells than them!! How unfair!!!

Its 2 more weeks to school... Time passes fast doesnt it?

Anyway... I got 4 core mods next sem...

ID2103... Design Studio! ... It's a freaking 2 DAYS per week!
ID2122... Eco-Design... Erm who's carlos montana!
ID2111... Com-Aided Design...
ID2321... Design for Production - Metal.. Yay... SLEEP! hah...

All ID modules! which means i'm gonna be stuck in studio the whole time dang it...

... and TUES timetable is a killer... take a look and i think u'll agree...

1-3pm: eco-design lect...
3-5pm: eco-design tut...
6-8pm: CAD lect...
8-10pm: CAD tut...

All the way from 1-10pm!!!! that's really freaakkkinggg late!!

and the gems that i looked... they dun really appeal to me... anyone got any suggestions? mmm...

Today's also celebration of sky's and tiff's bday~abit belated but... everybody can be present ya?

Met zaha ogls at 630pm to get cake... And on the way, saw ying again... And that's twice in 3 days... I was pleasantly surprised again. Cake buying was like so undecisive though... went into quite a few shops all over citilink/marina... haiyoh shall not go into it... But in the end we got a cake from Jack's Place...

Dinner was at New York New York which was just newly opened last monday. I had ribs n its pretty good... But service was quite bad... food was slow and worse!? do they know like how to serve cake? no disrespect but the waitress just happily bring the cake out from where they kept and proceeded to our table and pass it to me with the cake still in the box and tied up and totally untouched in the plastic bag. Basically its unserved. So ching and shar had to help out... Oh my. How worse can it get? 1st time ever encountering such situation ya. Hopefully not anymore. Just spoils the surprise like totally.

Following on we played some 'mind' games, and after which we proceeded over to esplanade for the bday ppl to unwrap their presents. Guess they shd be pretty happy with the gifts. I think the presents suit them quite alot... Ha. After some 'bubbly' fun (literally) at the esplanade, everybody was like rushing for the last train home... Ya cos its LATE already!

Was supposed to wake up at 9am today for bball , 10am at nus. My phone alarm (maybe i shd change the default tone eh? haha!) didn't wake me and i got up at ard 0940! Shucks late once again!! And i still told ching whl chatting at abt 0330 the prev day i wun be late for bball! Guess sleeping at 4am is too tiring for me...

So i reached sch abt 1040. 40 mins late!

Coincidence no. 1:
While walking to the bball court, I saw 1 of the PCs of 'A' Coy of my reservist unit. Damn qiao he was there for soccer i think... But i forgot his name! ... Well that's cos i'm new to the whole unit after being mysteriously posted to as CSM of 'A' Coy. (Is it Joel? Argh, my memory suck! Oh its ravel actually) And it itsn't easy remembering everybody's name while being totally new to the job and had tons to learn and also knowing nobody b4 that as well..

So we talked for abit while i totally had no idea of his name. I was kinda surprise to see him actually cos i didn't noe he's in nus.

And he too was surprised that i'm in nus as well and actually the same age as him and going year 2 next sem!!! Cos well according to him, i look too 'lao jiao' and so he thought i was working already! OMG! WTF!! Was it more of a remark/compliment or do i look OLD already? Sigh... I'm only 21... going to 22 ya?

Yup so i bball all the way to 1 plus... Grabbed subway for lunch and went to far east str after to meet J there cos she was rebonding her hair there. And i cut my hair there as well to ease the waiting time...


Ended up having 2 shampoos for my hair! Cos the hairdresser gave me a wash first but as the salon was kinda shorthanded, i was told to go to another in far east... LOL. Totally worth it yea? =) But i ended up having washed my hair 4 TIMES in a day... once after bball, twice at far east and 1 more at home in the night... Erm any side effects of washing hair 4 times in a day?


Plenty of roadshows in orchard so went to take a look... esp cos i want a k800!

Coincidence no. 2:
Went to the booth near Paragon and was shocked to find SE k800 selling at only $568 with free bluetooth headset and 256mb M2 mem card... That's like a big drop from the prev price at $938 w/o contract and $798 w contract!

There were 3 salesgirls there... they were super busy i tell u... and i kept looking at one of them! Cos besides that she's pretty she was like damn familiar... but i just couldn't rem from where or maybe its just my mistake... headache just trying to jot my memory there! And i didn't want to approach her and say sth like 'hey... u look familiar...' Cos if i'm mistaken then it wld seem like a lousy pick up line won't it?

When she finally looked over, she thought i was a revisiting customer! Haha funny... So in the end, i rem we used to be in the same mkting tutorial... so that clears our guesses on where we met b4! J was totally clueless as well. So my memory ain't that bad after all... marlene ya? i'll try to rem... haha! though i think i'll forget in a few days time...

Anyway...

Walked a shitload today in raffles xchange, then citilink and finally suntec.

And there you go, my first lime green shirt bought! Pretty much the exact shade of green i wanted. And its way nicer than the only other lime green tee which i found at Giordano.

Woke up at 9 today for soccer! Kinda think of it, it's pretty long since i last exercised proper. Probably the last time was all the way before union camp or idaki camp 3 weeks ago i guess.

I should start exercise more now when i have time since when sem starts basically its work work and more work. And then i'll be like a white chicken again! Hate it! So today's soccer, thur i'll go for tennis and sat bball! Oh and a run soon also hopefully =)



The sun was freaking hot i tell you. And we played from 10 till 1 plus . Too hot i guess that nobody else was ard except us (9 ppl: me, daryll, dom, wil, wc, ben, andre, sanny, allan). So whenever the soccer ball got kicked out of court, everybody scrambled for the shades beneath lamp posts, goal area and the sorts. Hah. And as usual, Sanny came so late, think he barely sweat much b4 we packed up to leave.

Yet, i think i'm gearing for another hair cut soon... Torres hairstyle? haha!
